A long and difficult loop around the Wetterstein Mountains awaits all cycling fans on the Wettersteinrunde. Six refreshment stops and a panoramic route await you on 77.8 kilometres. Along the Leutascher Ache, the route initially climbs gently towards Seebensee. The route then climbs steeply to the Ehrwalder Alm before leading cyclists downhill to the town centre. Past the Grainau war memorial chapel and on the Höhenrain panorama path, you cycle to Hotel Waxenstein and the Olympic ski stadium in Garmisch. The six-and-a-half-hour tour takes you towards the Ferchensee and Lautersee lakes. They are perfect for cooling off in between. Head towards Mittenwald to the Geisterklamm gorge and back to the starting point. The varied bike route crosses borders and also leads through pasture areas. Even though the tour is quite demanding, it is still worth it to discover the region around the Wetterstein Mountains.
